Pluffies were first introduced June 28, 2002 with the introduction of Bluebeary the Bear, Cloud the Bear, Grins the Frog, Pinks the Bear, Plopper the Dog, and Puddles the Duck! The new Pluffies line appears to be the replacement for the Baby Ty line. Pluffies are made out of a new material called TyLux and are machine washable, perfect for giving to little ones!
The Pluffies line was one of the first Ty products to have Ty Australia written on the inside of the hang tags! The Australian Beanie market really started to pick up 1/4 of the way through 2002. Early 2002 a few Beanies were being shipped to Australia, now all Ty product lines are making there way to the Aussies!
