On November 01, 2001 Ty introduced two new Ty Classics, both of which were Japanese exclusives. He announced Godzilla and King Ghidorah. However, at the time of the announcement you could not tell whether these were Beanie Babies or some other Ty line. It wasn't until November 14, 2001 that we knew for sure! Ty listed Godzilla & King Ghidorah under the Ty Classics section of the website!
A little later on November 30, 2001 Ty announced one more Japanese Exclusive called Mothra. These were the first ever exclusives to be Ty Classics and not Beanies or Buddies!
After a little bit of research we discovered that a new Godzilla movied titled,
Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: The Giant Monsters' General Offensive (english title) will be released on December 15, 2001. The movie is also called G.M.K. for short. These new exclusive Ty Classics will be released and sold at select theaters in Japan during the movies release.
The following is a short plot summary of the new movie:
After 50 years since his attack on Tokyo in 1954, the destructive monster Godzilla has somehow returned to life to destroy the city again. But according to a mysterious old man named Isayama, Godzilla attacks Japan as a warning. Isayama is part of a religious cult that worships the legendary Three Holy Beasts of Yamato, which protected Japan in ancient times. Now, the religious cult must call upon the three monsters, King Ghidorah, Mothra and Baragon to protect Japan from Godzilla! Meanwhile, JSDF General Tachibana, a survivor of Godzilla's onslaught in 1954, has prepared for the time Godzilla would return, while most people forgot about Godzilla's destruction since then. At the same time, Tachibana's daughter Yuri, a TV reporter, follows the intense monster battle, and somehow senses a strong message of hatred from Godzilla...

TAGS - All three have the following same tags in common
GODZILLA - TY PLUSH HEIGHT: 8" LENGTH: 11 1/2"
Origin:
Originally, Godzilla was said to be an ancient monster awakened by nuclear testing in the Pacific Ocean. However, it was later discovered that he started out as a dinosaur called a "godzillasaurus" that was living on Lagos Island and was awakened by naval bombardment during WWII. After being seriously injured by American troops, Godzilla was left to die,
only to be mutated into a huge fire-breathing monster 10 years later by radiation from atomic tests in the Pacific.
In the 1991 movie Godzilla vs. King Ghidora, his origin was modified by time travellers from
the future so that the wounded godzillasaurus was teleported to the Bering Sea, where an accident involving a nuclear submarine in the present day created a larger, more powerful Godzilla.[Source]
