On September 8, 2001 Ty Inc. CFO Michael Kanzler presented the Billionaire
Bear 4 to Ty's employees at the Fourth Annual Ty employee Party. The party
was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Navy Pier in Illinois. Manager's started
receiving their bears Monday September 10, 2001, all other employees received
theirs on Thursday September 13, 2001. On the left is one of the invitations inviting guests to the event!

This is the fourth Billionaire Bear to be given away by Ty at employee parties.
On September 28, 1998 Billionaire I was given out to employees at a
company party at the Oakbrook Polo Club in Chicago. Billionaire II was given
out September 1999 to
employees at the Oakbrook Bath and Tennis Club in Chicago and Billionaire
3 was given to employees at a dinner held at the Field Natural History Museum
in Chicago on September 23, 2000.
These
are his way of saying thank you to all of his employees for all of the work
they do.

The Billionaire
Bear 4 is a copper-tone color with a yellow ribbon around the neck trimmed
in gold. I think this is the cutest Billionaire Bear yet! The bear has one
large dollar sign embroidered on his chest with a subscribed smaller number
4 embroidered next to it. Each bear is signed by
Ty (I have heard of at least one authenticated Bear that was apparently
missed by Ty and not signed! What an oddity!) with gold ink, there are a
total of 762 Billionaire Bear 4 bears.

on this beautiful Bear reads as follows:
A special gift from Ty to you
This worldwide bear makes his debut
A billion plus in sales we've done
So again this year, we're #1!
An odd note
about this bear is the tush tag, it does not have a new 2001 tag with a hologram!

depending on several things:
1. Some come with invitations that are opened.
2. Some come with invitations that are sealed!
3. Some are guaranteed to be low numbers!
4. Some are just the bear with no guarantee of a certain number.
